Book AppointmentHow Often Do I Need an Eye Exam?
The American Optometric Association recommends that low-risk patients adhere to these guidelines at a minimum:
- Adults between the ages of 18 to 64 should have an eye exam every 2 years.
- Adults 65 years and older should have an annual eye exam.
Patients with diabetes, high myopia, or other vision conditions should have more frequent examinations. We will work with you and your unique needs to determine the best exam schedule for your eyes.

Book AppointmentWhat Happens During an Eye Exam?
You’ll love our modern, stylish office. Our friendly staff can always be seen in the latest frame styles and our comfortable environment will put you at ease. If you’re a new patient, we’ll ask some questions about your health history, lifestyle, and current medications. We’ll discuss your family history, give you time to ask questions, and address any concerns.
Comprehensive eye exams are more than just a vision test. Our questions about your health and family history are designed to help us assess your risk factors for eye diseases or other vision conditions.
During the exam, we will carefully and thoroughly evaluate both the internal and external structures of the eye using the latest technology. We will measure your visual acuity to determine whether you need corrective lenses, or if you already have them, if your prescription is up-to-date.
When your exam is over, you’ll have plenty of time to browse our extensive selection of frames. Our experienced staff will help you find the perfect pair to fit your face shape and style, and you can try on as many as you like!

When the Dr asked me how my dry eye went, I told her ” what dry eye “.
Much improvement. I can see clearly in the mornings and afternoons where before there was lots of dryness.
It has made my daily life much better. I am not constantly squeezing and rubbing my eyes, and can more easily focus on my computer (for work) and other tasks/hobbies. My eyes overall “feel” 100% better. No more itchy, dry eyes! My vision is also crisper now, and I don’t feel like I am straining to see things clearly.
Drastic improvement in day-to-day comfort. I didn’t realize how much it could be improved and extermely glad to treat my dry eye symptoms. The Pack Optical team were intentional to provide comfort through the entire process and support specific needs. Grateful for the full team through each step of the process.
The experience was easy and office staff is wonderful. Dry eye symptoms are mostly improved. I still have days with dry eye symptoms but they’re not as bad as before.
Even though I still have allergy eyes, they aren’t as bad as they used to be. I am so glad I invested in my eyes and had the treatments. Highly recommend the treatment and Pack Optical.
I work on a computer all day, this really reduced my eye strain. My eyes just feel better, even with allergies.
The treatment has really made an improvement on my dry eyes. I’m finally feeling relief.
I don’t think one should take eye sight health for granted. Knowing a treatment can improve my eye quality to reduce dryness and abrasions was important to me. Process is easy and painless. Great staff….
The treatment experience was amazing – the people made the experience for me! I did not have any dry eye symptoms before the treatment, so I have not noticed a difference since having been treated. But everyone was so understanding and accommodating (except one individual who works here has been very rude in my experiences with her – If I had to have her as a technician, I would not come here anymore)!
My eyes are feeling great, I didn’t realize how dry they were until completing treatment. I was already familiar with IPL treatments, and found the experience relaxing.
